Connor is Awesome

My son is the best person in the whole world.  Even when he's waking me up in the middle of the night and wants to be on my person when he's awake, and wants to nurse 24/7.  He grins and laughs and spins around in circles and signs and say "uh-oh" when he drops thing repeatedly.

The. best.

Here is picture proof of how awesome my baby boy is.
Finding delight in his spit up.
Trying to put the lens cap on the camera.
Loving on the baby doll.
With "Ol-li-ler."
After dipping his face in the bath.

Visit from Leslie and Ella

Last week our friend Leslie and her daughter Ella came down for a visit!  Leslie is one of Patrick's good friends from high school and she married one of MY friends from high school Kevin.  Their daughter Ella is just 5 months older than Connor.  Kevin was working on their house, so Leslie and Ella came to stay with us for four days, which was a ton of fun.  Connor loves Ella (Yey-ya) and was so excited to see her every time he woke up.  It was really great o spent time with Leslie and we enjoyed not having to closely watch our children since they were entertaining each other.

We did a lot of things together like going to Target, wading in our pool, having visitors for playdates, and watching movies.  We would have been in the pool a lot more but it rained tow of the days they were here.  We were grateful for the rain though!

So handsome.
Watching the movie Ponyo together.
We took the cushions off the couch so they could get on the couch easier.
Hanging out.
Posing with our friends Holly and her daughter Jewel, and Zandra.
A visit with Britni and her sons Porter (in front of her) and Parker (who the little'ns are looking at.
So sweet.

Independence Day

Today we took some pictures outside in honor of July 4th.  There's something about the red, white, and blue color scheme that I like a lot for pictures.  Patrick and I are wearing our shirts I bought for our pictures last year, but I didn't really end up liking any of them.  These were really fun though!  I'm only sad that Connor has that bruise on his forehead.  I guess that's what comes with having a boy!

Tate 2012

The week of June 17th, the Carpenter family headed to Tate!  Not all of us were able to stay the whole week.  Mom, Will, and Sarah had to work most of the week, but were all able to come up at least once. It was awesome to take Connor there.  I have a feeling in the future he will be begging us not to leave.
At Sani's house before heading to Tate!
The view from the house.
Lily Kate and Lillian playing with Henry.
Using the telephoto lens to see the sweet cousins playing together.
Jumping off the tower.
Happy Hadley!
Cousins and uncles.
I don't know  why, but I love pictures of babies being thrown in the air.
Connor going "whee" with his dada.
Playing in the water.
Mermaid cousins.

...and Connor's reaction.  He's not totally sure what he thinks about his mama disappearing.
Connor with Uncle Myers and Aunt Laura.  We can't wait to meet their son in September!
Imma get your camera!
Connor wanted to have anything that Hadley was playing with, but she didn't mind.
See?
Who loves the water?
Myers was showing Lillian the video he took of himself jumping off the tower.
We will post those soon!
Connor also loved the sand.
He would crawl up and down the hill over and over.
Look how red his hair looks!  It doesn't look like this is real life.
On Wednesday we set out to take pictures of the families.  Charlotte was none too happy about it, but we did our best!  Unfortunately, we didn't get any good ones of our little family, but here are the best of what we did get!
Precious Aunt Sassy.
Myers, Laura, Lillian, and baby Carpenter.
Lily Kate and Lillian love each other.
Look at those happy faces!
This is probably the best of the cousins together.
It was incredibly complicated to get a picture of them together.
Liz, Parks, Lily Kate, Charlotte, and Hadley Carpenter.
Laura and Lillian.
I'm sure you can see how done Charlotte is.  They are all so precious though.
Sani and Hadley.
Uncle Henry and Uncle Will.
Cousins playing.
I love being with babies!
Sweet Charlotte.
My silly boy.
On Thursday we threw a birthday party for Connor and Hadley.  Hadley turns one on August 1st, so it was right in between their birthdays.  Laura got a bean bag toss, we had some brownies, and we had a pinata that was a decoration at Connor's party.  I'm so glad Laura decided to put it on!
Connor doing the bean bag toss.  He was really into it.
All of us gathered around for brownies.
Connor having his first dessert ever.  He nibbled it and then crunched it in his hand for a while.
Hadley really enjoyed hers though!
The remains of the pinata.
Splashing around.
I love this picture so much!
Sani and Hadley.
Lily Kate is so sweet with Hadley.
Love it!
Uncle Henry with Hadley.  He is so sweet with his nieces and nephew.
Charlotte is so silly!
On Friday, Patrick's parents came for a half hour.
They often go out on really long drives on their motorcycle and made Tate a stop on their way!
Look how high I got him!
Connor is so intent on this book!
I love going to Tate.  I love being with my family even more!  I can't wait to see all of them again, hopefully in September when we welcome our new nephew into the world!
