Little Stories

Just wanted to share some little stories so that they aren't forgotten:

I've been trying to get Connor to repeat the alphabet back to me and to count (just to three right now).  Anyway, I finally got him to count to three yesterday, and then later in the evening, he started saying,
"One, two, ... dog!  One, two, dog!"

At Mass yesterday, we had left Connor in the nursery to play so we could pay attention to the readings and prayers.  When we were leaving:

Becca: Connor, did you have a good time?
Connor: Yep.
Me: Was it fun?
Connor: Mmhmm.
Becca: You want to do it again?
Connor: No!

Of course, we're not sure how much of our questions he understood, but it was still funny.

He's also been doing funny things when he's in his crib to sleep for the night.  Last night he started crying, and right as Becca was about to go into his room to soothe him, he yelled, "Yay!"  He didn't make any more noise after that.

And this morning when I walked out to the living room, he was still absolutely quiet, and then he started laughing really loud.  While I'm typing this, he's yelling and laughing while he slams his feet into the side of the crib.

Connor now also says "I love you."  It comes out as "Aiya!"

And just so I don't break my own rule of at least one photo or video per post, here is one that didn't make it onto the blog last month:

Miscellany

Here's a bunch of pictures of what we've been up to this month.  Connor and I have been going to MOMS club events a lot, until last week when we got a cold.  He's still fighting it, so we've been taking it easy.
Connor seeing the tree in the morning after
it was decorated.  He is really enjoying it,
calling it "pi-ty" and trying to pull on it.
He has picked a favorite ornament, a silver star.
My silly boy.  He stands like this a lot.
A couple weekends ago, we went to  the playground with the Irishes, my new friends from MOMS club.  We went to the park and then had delicious Indian food.  They have a son that is Parker's age and a daughter that is Connor's age.

Holding hands!
Kid loves water.
Last weekend was Patrick's company Christmas party.  It was a lot of fun, as usual.  Connor ended up staying up really late because the party started an hour before his bedtime.  I managed to get a picture of Connor and Patrick before we headed out.  Connor wasn't in the best mood and refused to pose with me.
One of Connor's new favorite activities is watching videos of himself on Patrick's and my phones.  He'll just sit in you lap and watch the same movie a million times.  He just can't get enough of that baby! ;)
Snuggles.
Delighted.
It rained recently and I realized I would love to have some rain boots for Connor.  Then I remembered I was given some and organized Connor's closet so I could find them.  Two birds with one stone!  They are just Connor's current size, which is awesome.  Now we can slip them on if he wants to go out, even over his footie PJs.  The temperature dropped with the rain and we've been wearing a lot of hats and jackets outside.  I don't want to little body to get to cold!
He plunked himself down
on top of our street number.

Christmas Tree!

When we got back for Chattanooga, we went with the Wootens to the Christmas tree farm to cut our trees down!  Patrick and I went last year and we were really happy to be able to share the experience with our friends this year.  It's so much fun!  We were also able to dress up and took some pictures for our Christmas card.
On our way!
Unfortunately, it was a strange time of day and the flash washed everything out and not flash was really dark and ended up making most of my pictures really blurry.  I've got to learn how to use my camera better!  Oh well, we got some good pictures anyhow.

Sweet boys.

Afterwards we came back to our house and had pizza together.  We sure love those Wootens!

Thanksgiving

I was so excited to host Thanksgiving for my mom, Will, Henry, Sarah, Ed, Marie, and Megan.  We had a lot of fun.  It look a while (like almost the whole time everyone was there) for Connor to warm up.  He wanted to hang out with Sarah most of the time.
My table
All our glorious food!
Everyone watching Connor dance.
Brother love.
After Thanksgiving we went to Chattanooga so we could go to our dear friends' Kevin's and Leslie's daughter Ella's second birthday!
Leslie and Kevin are expecting their second baby in April and they announced the gender and name of the baby at Ella's birthday.  They had Ella open a box with blu balloons in it.  It was so fun!
Boxes are the most fun toys.

Blog post... finally

Long story short, I ran out of space on my account for storing pictures.  So, I've been sitting on a few blog posts, trying to remember the passwords to my other Google accounts when I finally got fed up and just made a new account.   So!  On to Connor.

Last month we did a lot of visiting!  We got to spend a lot of time with Parker and Porter.  One day, when they came over, all the boys decided they needs to play outside, so we suited them up in Connor's jackets and let them play.  So sweet.

Sarah visited us the week before Thanksgiving to plan for our dinner.  Connor loves it when his Sassy visits!
Somehow, Connor ended up with some booboos on his knee and foot.  I got to put on his first bandaid (other than shots).  He was not thrilled.  He thinks bandaids are an abomination and tries to take them off everyone, including himself.
Sarah go to come back and visit us the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which was really helpful with cooking and prepping food.  And Connor was thrilled.
We have a neighbor who has two tiny Yorkies that Connor loves to visit.  It's fun that we can connect with a neighbor through our "children."  Connor often ask to go see the dogs, but when we go into her backyard, he tries to avoid them as much as possible (who could blame him, they try to give his face doggie kisses and push him down) and just explores Darnell's yard.
