Halloween and day after Halloween Party!

Happy Halloween!  Our sweet boys were excited to go out in the neighborhood.  We did practice run in the afternoon to get Connor used to trick or treating and he was ready to go!
Trying to go out early.
Showing me his hammer.
Getting ready to go out.
He's so cute!
Eamon would NOT keep his hat on.
After dinner we listened to some Halloween music on Pandora.  Eamon had been dancing in little spurts the past week or so, but tonight he really started moving!  It was adorable!
Today we had a vaguely Studio Ghibli Halloween party for some of our friends with kids!  So many people were coming that I decided to get a bounce house and I'm so glad that I did!  The kids had an absolute blast.  They bounced for a while, then watched My Neighbor Totoro while eating some dinner, then bounced again!  Because of renting the bounce house on Saturday evening, we get to keep it until Monday morning!

I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of the bounce house, but I was a little busy throwing a party ;)
Cute Eamon, as the cat Jiji.
Kiki!
Connor is Tombo and Eamon as Jiji.
Patrick is the baker and I'm Osono.
Our friend Jacob is Totoro!
Rebekah, Sierra, and Shintaro as Kiki's parents and Kiki.
Sweet little Rhys as Calcifer.
Kids all watching Totoro.
Connor really wanted to play this song so that he could dance with Parker and Porter, like they had done a couple years ago.  Coraline and Eamon got in on the action this time too!

Trip to Michigan

The weekend of October 9-12th, Eamon and I trekked north to Michigan to meet my best friends from college!  Heidi lives in Michigan and Laura came from North Carolina, and Katie came from Texas so we could all meet Heidi's new son Jack.  Laura also got to meet Eamon for the first time.
Waiting for our first plane.
People could not stop talking about how good Eamon was being and flirting with him.  It's always funny to me, because he is just always that way!
Meeting Laura in Atlanta!
We were able to schedule our flights so that Laura and I could fly from Atlanta to Michigan and back together.  It was such a relief to be able to share the long flight with someone I knew!
Eamon LOVED Heidi's stairs.
Laura and I arrived on Thursday afternoon and met Heidi at the airport.  We rented a car to accommodate all of us.  We were expecting a van, but instead we got a 2015 Suburban!  It was huge.  Very luxurious!  We had a lot of fun driving around in it.  We all went to hang out at Heidi's house and get the two little boys naps.  The sweet, silly boys had fun playing together and we girls had fun talking with each other!
Lots of time playing with this remote.
Friday, after the babies woke up from their naps, we were out to lunch and apple orchard where we got wine, ice cream, fudge, popcorn, and cider.
At lunch.
My sweetheart.
Robinette's Apple Orchard!
In the apple trees.
Jack is so sweet!
Look at this cutie!
Saturday we woke up and went to breakfast together, along with Heidi's husband Dan.  Then the girls went out to Holland to do some shopping!  Then we went to Lake Michigan and hang out for a bit before going back to Heidi's.  That night we went out to a Mongolian grill place before staying up WAY too late doing our nails and drinking wine.  Perfect!
I tried to get Eamon to splash in the water but it was cold!  too cold for my snuggle buddy.  He had a lot of fun in the sand though.
Some nature nursing.
Clearly enjoying himself.
Our attempt to recreate one of our favorite pictures from college.

Sunday we sadly had to say goodbye.  We first took Katie to the airport and then went out to lunch  before Heidi and Dan dropped Laura, Eamon and me off for our flight.
Boys in their seats.
Before our flight to Atlanta.
Unfortunately for Eamon and me, our flight got delayed by over an hour.  We already had a 2 hour layover, and Eamon had only slept 30 minutes since 10:30 that morning, so the poor thing was really tired.  But again, he is the sweetest, so he just ran around the gate seating area, flirting, and talking to people.  It was a little hard on me since I had to keep all of our stuff with me at all times, and he was being WILD, but people were very nice.
Looking at the plane.
Extremely bad Chinese food.
It was such a great trip and I can't wait until we can all be together again!
