Boys

I had half a post written and restarted my browser and lost it.  But that was like 3 weeks ago, so I guess there's a lot of new stuff to say!

Both the boys have done a lot of growing in the past 2 months.  Eamon had 8 teeth and walks like a champ.  Connor has a new interest in clay and asks to play with it all the time.  I would let him, but Eamon gets it and eats it, so Connor only gets it when Eamon is sleeping.  He spends a lot of time ordering me to make him numbers out of clay.
I attempted to do a photo shoot and someone was not happy about it.
Pouts!
There's that smile!
He loves this car.
At the Y pool.
In our hammock!  The boys LOVE it.
They love snuggling with their dad.
Eamon and his ever-present head-wounds.
Connor continues to be in love with letters and numbers.  We've made him several connect the dot sheets that he traces over and over.  His favorite toy is the foam blocks that have the letters on them that my mom got him as a safe toy to be around Eamon when he was a baby.  Connor lines then up in the alphabet, spells the words he has memorized, and tries to spell new words.  He will call out a series of letters and ask what it spells.  Most of the time I cry, "Nothing!" and he laughs.  Patrick has coached Connor on how to spell lots of different colors and many different people's names.  Connor also likes to write all the words he knows in chalk on the patio.
I love this picture.
We went out to eat.  I told Connor
he was a sweetheart and he said, "Yep,
I'm a sweetheart!"  Then I took this picture.

He was so proud of himself for getting into the sink.
Day before Eamon's birthday, eating cupcakes.
Connor started school August 18th, and he LOVES it.  He talks about going to school every day.  His teachers are lovely and he is learning so, so much.  He's always singing new songs, many of them about God, and I'm just thrilled he's so happy.  After dropping him off in the morning, I bring Eamon back to nap, so I have two hours of being completely alone in the morning.  I've been able to do a lot of clay during that time, which is awesome!  After Eamon wakes up, we will hang out or run errands, then get Connor and they both come home and take their afternoon nap.
First day of school!
Eamon loves doing this.
Little stinker!!
Eamon loves his sweet owl.  He sleeps with it at night and for naps.

The night of Eamon's first birthday, when we came home from dinner, Patrick decided it would be a great time to move Eamon into Connor's room.  The crib has been set up there, waiting for him, since we moved Connor into his big bed, all we had to do was move the rocking chair and come up with a routine.  The first week was pretty rough because Eamon wasn't used to being put down in the crib.  The motion woke him up and he would have to cry (after I tried putting him down 2-3 times).  We also started doing naps in the crib too.  Now it's been 5 weeks and we have a great routine.  Connor naps in our bed and Eamon is in his crib.  The only unfortunate thing is that unlike Connor, Eamon does not sleep through the night.  He still wants to nurse 2-3 times at night and has only STTN 4 times since moving in with Connor.  I've tried bringing him back in the bed with me, even for part of the night, but he doesn't settle with me anymore, and I don't really settle with him either.  I put the pack and play in the guest room for when he needs to fuss a bit in the night and he wakes up most mornings in there, which is good because Connor has been getting up at 5:30, making lots of noise!

I'm tired :)
Eamon LOVES to eat and drink.  One day for lunch he had 4 slices of sandwich meat and a Noosa yoghurt.  He constantly wants a sippy cup so he can drink water and juice (when he can get it).  If he sees someone else with a sippy cup, he tries to steal it, so I have to remember to have one with me at all times!
This is Eamon's TV watching pose.  He can turn it on himself now.
Connor used a black piece of chalk and rubbed it on his face.
My goofy boys. Eamon loves putting things on his head.
When we took Connor to school, we realized that they wanted him to be potty trained.  We sent him to school with a diaper the first couple of days and worked with him on Tuesday and Thursday.  On Friday he went in underwear and has been doing pretty well.  It was slow going at the beginning, and we are currently have trouble with pooping on the toilet, but 90% of his awake time in underwear.  Potty training is one of my least favorite activities, so I will be glad when it is more settled!
Connor loves chocolate!
