It's Been Too Long...

I don't normally like to let two weeks go by without posting, but I have been a tired Mama without a lot to say, except that Connor is wonderful, even when there are changes with his eating and so it changes the way I get to sleep.  Connor used to be able to get satisfied right before bed and slept 3-4 hours before wanting to eat again.  Now there's no predicting it, and in addition, he has major gas issues that only calm down when he sleeps ON me.  There's no way I can get to a deep sleep that way, so adjusting to it has been hard.  I think my body is learning how to deal with it though because I've been feeling better and better, even though I don't think I'm sleeping more.  I'm not having to wake as fully when he's hungry though, maybe that's it?


The temperatures are inching their way down and I'm looking forward to fall!  I especially love Halloween and I'm trying to figure out the cutest thing to dress Connor in for it.  Anyone have suggestions?

Fun with Connor!

Connor and I have a lot of fun playing together. He likes me to hold him over me when I lay on my back so he can look down at me. If I raise him up and lower him down repeatedly, he has a lot of fun. Plus, I get exercise! Becca discovered that if you turn your head from side to side while doing this, sometimes it gets him to laugh really hard!

The other thing Connor likes a lot is for me to lift him up on my shins. This is good for when my arms get tired. But, as Becca has told me several times, not so good when Connor is tired!

Connor has adopted the "skeleton luge" style.

Right now, I have to say that Connor laughing has got to be my favorite thing in the world. I don't think I could possibly be unhappy while Connor is expressing his joy.

Connor's smile is always reward enough to me for all the work I do.

Connor has really been surprising us with how quickly he is developing. I set him down for tummy time and he turned himself around by more than 90 degrees! I said that this must be some sort of milestone, but got made fun of for it. Also, he has recently started trying to pick things up. Sometimes he gets very frustrated when he is unsuccessful, but I am proud of him for trying!

3 Months!

My little man is 3 months old!  He's grown up so much.  It's amazing to me that even from one day to the next we advances physically and mentally.  Now holds onto us with his little hands and he loves to look at himself, in pictures or in the mirror.

Yesterday, Aunt Sarah was with us and asked if he had a little chair to sit in.  I had forgotten my cousin Rachel gave me one, and she pulled it out of the closet for him to sit in.  He loves it so much!  I think it gives him a lot of independence.

 His little neck is getting tired.
